Sing!

Sing! Sing wide out loud. Sing because it feels good, because no on is listening, because you’ve got a voice and just some eighty-odd years to use it. Sing to harmonize with the universe, which began as a song and is still always singing, whether or not we’re listening.

Sing with the whales, deep and subsonic, the most hidden parts of you coursing into the air, riding-creating their own waves.

SING!

Because you belong. Because your voice is its own beautiful thing, no matter what you may think!

SING!

Sing when you’re sad and you need a mournful song. Sing when you’re anxious and need to remember not to worry, that “every little thing’s gonna be alright…” Sing along, but do it in your own voice.

FIND YOUR OWN VOICE

Feel the freedom of opening up your throat and letting your YOUness spill out. Break all the rules. Find the sound that makes you say, “Oh yes, this is my voice and no other.” Let singing teach you what it feels like to have cohesion between the symphony inside of you and the sounds carried on your breath. Polish your throat with song so that words of love and grief and joy and healthy boundaries and TRUTH may flow freely through you.

Sing a new song. One you’ve never sung.

xoxo your inner voice
