Wild mugwort, or Artemisia douglasiana, has many medicinal and culinary uses but is best known for its association with the wild feminine, full moon, and deep + vivid dream states.

In this workshop, we'll take a walk through our fields and forest to harvest wild mugwort and other dreamy plants on our community land.

We'll each make a personalized dream wand, then we'll head into a hidden grove of old-growth trees where Becca will lead you into a meditative dream state with the support of your wildcrafted wand.

Be prepared to walk two miles with some off-trail and rugged footing.

Sink into the wild springtime beauty of the Little Applegate Valley with me!

We'll meet at a trailhead on the Sterling Mine Ditch trail about 40 minutes from Jacksonville, hike through madrone and oak woodlands up to wide open vistas of the Siskiyou Mountains and beyond, and fill our sketchbooks with the beauties we discover along the way.

I'll provide some exercises and instruction to get us all going, then offer ample time for you to be with the land and your creative interpretations of it. This workshop is open for creators of all levels, and is particularly suitable for folks who would benefit from a playful, imperfectionist approach to making art.

BYO lunch and snacks, water, sun protection, and art supplies. Be prepared to hike about four miles total on gently uphill terrain. Trailhead directions will be shared in May.

Join us at Bestow, Ashland’s amazing plant shop, for a Plant Oracle Card-Making Workshop!

To begin, you will choose a plant from the shop that you are attracted to.
Becca will the help you to discover your connection with that plant through a guided meditation, free writing, and sketching.

Next, using the medium of your choice, you will create an oracle card inspired by the wisdom of your chosen plant. Watercolors, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and blank cards, will be provided.

Finally, we will share our plant's insights by doing mini readings with one another.

Join us alongside Yale Creek for a morning of foraging early spring's edible and medicinal offerings, including nettles, cleavers, miner’s lettuce, chickweed, purple dead nettle, henbit, wild mint, and more.

Our time together will include walking, plant identification and harvest, quiet time for journaling and drawing, a picnic lunch* with salad and tea made from our harvests... and some fresh bread from Rise Up! Artisan Bread, the bakery on our community land.

Be prepared to walk up to a mile on uneven terrain. We are an hour from Ashland and Grants Pass, 45 minutes from Medford, and 30 minutes from Jacksonville.
